I lost my mother a couple of weeks ago after a long battle with dementia. She had given me “Loving Angel” by Willow Tree many many years ago, and I’ve received a couple more pieces from others over the years. When I saw “Loving Mother” piece I was overcome with all possible emotions thinking of our relationship from my childhood through her diagnosis and progression of dementia. She was also a generational quilter, and so I added the “Generations” piece to my collection to honor the special bond she had with my daughter. I had purchased multiple items from Willow Tree. Each one that I saw had something that mattered to me. For example, the light and dark sitting cats, I got both of them. Dark cat is for my little cat that I have now, and the Light cat is for my other cats that crossed the rainbow bridge. Something to remember them by. The shipping was packed very well. Came early and there was no damage. I was very excited and very pleased with them. Thank you Willow Tree!

When my daughter opened the box and contemplated what was in it. tears of joy started pouring out of happiness. She kissed me and hugged and said to me… it’s perfect 😍

It was hard finding these pieces on the website and when I finally did, I remembered there use to be a choice of light or dark skin color. These didn't have a choice, but I went ahead and ordered. . I have grandchildren that I have these for where I write their names on them and some are light and some are dark. The ones I received this time are the darker shade. Oh well. Perhaps I'll get my paints out.

I ordered this in behalf of my dad, so mom would not know about it until the right time. Purchase was easy. Shipping was even better! I ordered it on New Year's Eve, and received it January 2, using standard shipping. It got here before the estimated express shipping would have.
