Great, as usual but this time the Brocton Post Office held it up for an extra 2 days before putting it on a delivery truck. Matt at SBM was going to send me a second book if this didn’t arrive by the next day. All is good.

Clothbound for posterity, bound also in muscle and emotional memory across the years. I was 13 when I first encountered this and the Sor, Giuliani studies. Began with the Shearer method and a great teacher. I would practice before I had to leave for school and it was the first thing I would do once home and out of school uniform. I went to school for physics instead of music; I put the science first, pragmatism before art. Small mistake, now corrected. Return to the old hill. Begin again. Now… Music first, science and her techne serves the art. There are no mistakes you can make that will not teach something. I’m beginning all over again, but I wanted to have the old ‘gospels’ to start afresh in a new way. These belong in every guitarist/musicians’ library; for reference, inspiration and a reminder always to return to the basics they compass in / out towards all that’s in you. Sorry for the opaque review, the books are great, but what they represent in my life - even greater. Landmarks. Hope you’re all encouraged in your journeys with Music, always. I can’t wait to hear all this community will put in our world. Thank you also to this business, you provide a focus and a service for all us ‘spokes on the wheel’. It’s been a long strange, wonderful trip… nice to know you're out there everyone. Keep going. . . .
