Robert makes great custom frames and is very easy to work with. I made a mistake in the dimensions and he was very accommodating and got me the right size, no fret. If you need your posters framed, definitely go to Spotlight.

This was my first time buying a frame from Spotlight! I needed two frames for my Japanese B2 movie posters and most places I had looked at were either cheap and flimsy frames, or very expensive and unknown quality. Seeing how good of a deal his frames were and how nice of quality they seemed I decided to order. After ordering I had realized (and quickly learned that this applies to many B2s) that my posters were slightly different in size than the frames he offered. I quickly emailed him after, Robert was incredibly promt in communication and was able to change the size of my frames! When they arrived I noticed how well they were packaged to avoid damage during shipment. I was very impressed by the quality of the frames, and how durable they seem despite how light they are! I was recently turned on to SpotlightDisplay.com's front-loading frames. When I first visited the site and read about them, I really liked the idea of a front-loading frame geared for poster/print/art enthusiasts. However - I have to admit - I was a little skeptical as to quality, function, etc. I purchased some standard sized frames along with some custom sized frames. All of them have the standard size border on them. I couldn't be more happy with them. Everything is EXACTLY the way that I want it! The frame itself is very sturdy, and the hinges are very strong. One thing I was wary of during pre-order was the hinged frame. I was worried that, after time, the hinges would lose strength. I was also worried about the hinged frame and if it would damage the print(s) at all after time. My worries with these frame's function have all been put to the proverbial bed. I couldn't be happier with their design as well as their quality. When you're holding them, you know that you have a quality product in your hand. Another reason I really like these frames is that they're so light. They're made mostly of aluminum, so they are not heavy, even in the slightest. Even after you put multiple prints in a 24"x36", it's surprising how light it is. Due to their weight, it puts a lot less strain on your walls. I wouldn't recommend it, but I think these frames (especially the smaller ones) could be hung without drilling into a stud or even using molly bolts, etc. AGAIN, that is NOT recommended lol. The frames are held up by screws put in directly through the frame. They're not hanging from a central (or two) point(s). One of my other reasons for liking these frames are that they're capable of working as storage for extra prints. Some of mine hold up to 5-6 extra prints behind the one I'm displaying. Having spent a large chunk of my teenage years working at movie theatres, I amassed a large collection of posters. Once upon a time, the only frames one could find to accommodate 27"x40" one-sheets at an affordable price were these plexiglass-and-cardboard atrocities that barely held together if you rotated your "stock" too often (not to mention their tendency to buckle during an even slightly humid summer). Eventually I saw fit to upgrade to some frames more in keeping with being a grown man, and I stumbled upon Spotlight Displays. First I sent an email, to which I received a very prompt response that was incredibly helpful and informative. Then I ordered some frames, which were remarkably easy to assemble and have readily withstood both poster swapping and humidity (I guess it helps there is no longer cardboard involved). Absolutely worth the investment! I'll be ordering again just as soon as I have more walls.

I've purchased probably around 15 frames of all various dimensions from Robert over the past three years. Robert has always been quick to respond, courtesy in his responses, helpful and patient. (This is a big plus as the first time I ordered with him I had my share of questions to ask about the products beforehand). The frames always arrived in perfect condition (and having free shipping if you spend a certain amount is always a huge bonus) and all frames were sized correctly which meant I never had to return any. You can buy those cheapy plastic frames at Walmart and get what you pay for and you can spend an arm and a leg at hobby stores like Michaels and A.C. Moore getting your custom frames made. Or you can purchase your frames here at Spotlight Displays and get a light-weight, extremely easy to install frame that is beyond-simple to load, unload, then load again with whatever artwork you want to put in it. Don't forget you can customize your frame's thickness and colors and that all frames come with plexiglass that serves as a UV protector and anti-glare (if you flip it the other way around). All mounting hardware is included.

We have 6 of the movie poster frames for almost a year now. They were easy to put together and mount to the wall. When I put them up I was concerned that the posters might slide over time, but the rails have held them tight and in place. Should also mention that the matte finish lens that goes on top of the poster works extremely well - no glossy reflection. I would strongly recommend these poster frames.

I've been a movie poster collector for years, but nearly every frame I've ever tried has let me down in one way or another. Either the quality was sub-par or the poster didn't display as well as I would have liked. After ruining several of my highly-treasured one-sheets in cheap Wal-Mart frames (I know, I didn't know any better back then), I finally invested several hundred dollars into a few frames from a company that's considered by many to be the best in the industry. And while the frames were generally quite nice overall, they came with their own set of problems. I have a nice home theater that cranks out a lot of bass at times, and these frames would constantly vibrate on the wall. And frankly, they just had a bulky appearance. It seemed to say "hey, look at the frames I've put on the wall" rather than "look at this beautiful artwork I'm displaying". Another problem was rippling inside the frames. I live in the South. The air here can get unavoidably damp, even in a semi-controlled, indoor environment. And paper needs to breathe. With the frames I had, I was instructed to only secure the poster at the top, which would allow the paper to expand and contract. This helped, but the aluminum was only so strong, and as the frames hung longer, they would buckle. Nearly imperceptibly, but there nonetheless. When that happened, the pressure was no longer equal around my one-sheet...and I'd see wrinkles forming. Not a problem if you address it immediately...but that required totally dismantling the frame and removing the paper. Who has time for that kind of maintenance when you just want to look at your artwork? Spotlight Displays address each and every one of these concerns flawlessly. Since there's no foam core (the most expensive component in other frames, by the way), you don't have to be concerned about whether you're getting a foam that's acid-free or one that will damage your poster over time. Really a great product, well made and affordable. I initially bought one to see how well the quality was and how complicated it was to put together. Needless to say I bought three more, assembly was super easy and it is of great quality. You will not be disappointed if you are looking to hang posters in a theater room.

I was looking for some snap frames to build out some lighted poster boxes and these were highly regarded by the folks on AVS Forum. I was able to custom order the depth of the channel to fit my diffuser and plexi. The frames worked out great and the boxes look awesome.
