Gets hot pretty quickly. Works well in the horizontal position. Gets pretty hot and glue is fairly runny. I had to use in a vertical position so the glue was dripping some. Also strings. I have to say that I have never used a gun before so it may take some practice but I wish it had some heat range.

In early spring my check engine light came on. Took the Ford 250 to the dealer and they found some rodent chewed through several lines on the top of the gas tank. $2200 please. Three months later, same thing - another $2200. So before we put the new gas tank back in the truck, I machined a mounting collar that held some 1/2" hardware cloth to protect the area under attack. Attaching it to the HDPE tank was a problem solved by the use of the Tough Guy hot melt adhesive. Worked great. Now that I have the truck back I'm putting hardware cloth all around the tank to keep those squirrels away. The hot melt adhesive is great for making wired joints permanent and attaching small bits of hadware cloth to cover any openings between the crash plate and the side shields. That Tough Guy sticks like crazy and is flexible enough to handle road vibrations.

The glue gun and adhesive work great! We had tried adhesive dots to hold our product in place for shipping with no luck. We are able to easily apply the glue and it does the trick. Our box ships with the product arriving intact. The adhesive performs well yet rubs right off. Thank you, we'll be ordering a lot more glue :)
