Bought the binoculars to view a concert…they are very pretty but did not do the job….were advertised for concert viewing but didn’t bring the performers closer as I hoped.

On line descriptions good. Phone servcie great. Overall a good way to buy. Only problem is that you really need to know what you want becasue there are so many choices.

I purchased these binoculars less than 1 year ago (2015,Jan) after reading many glowing reviews. the lenses are bright, easy to focus, but the rubber detailing is quite fragile: in 1 year of light use, the rubber eye pieces have come unglued, the grommets that hold the eye caps in place have torn away from the straps, and the protective caps on the ends of the binocs never stay in place. Overall: the protective details are not quality, do not protect. I have no idea how to get these replaced, or if it would make a difference. ann porotti

I have been impressed with the optics on both binoculars. They are clear and gather a great deal of light due to the quality of the optics and the coatings. As I recall they transmit 92% or 94% of the light to the eye. We use them on our trimaran sailboat and I enjoy taking them outside for astronomy. The star images are better than the Nikon 12x50 binoculars I have. They are heavier than the Nikon's but I expected that. My wife likes the 7x30 binoculars as well. They are light and easy to use. Hers has the compass feature that I bought because Binoculars.com was out of stock on the 7x30 Navigator Pro w/o compass. My feeling is the compass does not interfere with observation much and you have to look for it to get a bearing. I like the fact you can focus the eyepieces once and forget them. Everything is in perfect focus past 20 ft or so. I wish the eye piece covers and objective lens covers stayed on better and the case was large enough to keep the floating neck strap in side too. I ordered the yellow floating neck strap since we use them for sailing but the part that snaps into the binocular is not long enough so Steiner sent me another part that works like and adapter. I am quite satisfied with our purchase and I know we will enjoy them for many years to come. I would recommend them to a friend.

When my Leica hunting binoculars were stolen they needed to be replaced quickly. My initial plan was to get Swarovskis, but even with the excellent deal offered, I couldn't part with that much $$$. While the Zeiss glass may not be as good as Swarovski glass, the differences were insignificant for my application. The only downside to purchasing this way is that you don't get to handle the binoculars before buying. The Zeiss were a bit clumsy in my hands for the first week of hunting; I to used to them without losing any game l
