Excellent, all around!

Socks came in as promised. Packaging was all recyclable. Sock quality appeared excellent (given as a gift).

False advertising. Supposedly for wide feet; even a AAA width couldn't wear them because of the elastic girdle.

I was so excited in anticipation of receiving my socks order. I pretty much can't wear socks b/c my toes are very painful. All my shoes have a very wide toe box, and what socks I can wear are so stretched out that they don't stay on my feet unless I'm wearing shoes. Based on the marketing, I thought Wide Open would be my solution. I was wrong. Wide Open socks are just like every other socks I have worn except that they stretch more. As for the toe box, where I REALLY need the room, Wide Open socks are just like every other sock out there. The toe tapers to a point. . . . HUH????? The toe should be blunted, not pointed, so it can accommodate toes that need lots of room. Hey--but at least these socks are ridiculously expensive. I figured if they worked, it was worth the price, but they don't work. As far as I'm concerned, this is just another poor product dressed up in fancy Marketing misdirection. Sadly, the company seems to spend more on marketing than on design. I'm seriously disappointed.

They FIT!!!!!! At 77 yrs I finally have socks that fit my 14 EEE feet without the strangulation of every other pair of socks I have ever had the misfortune to put on. I only learned of wideopensocks. com because the women to took my return at Darn Tough told me you existed. Get the word out about wideopensocks. com. I will be ordering a drawer full very shortly.
