No experience with the customer service but the shopping experience was what I expected.

I wanted to like this knife. I really did. Elmax steel and micarta seemed like a rock solid combo that couldn’t miss. I was wrong. The blade itself was just fine. Good, even. Balanced grinds, no scratches, and centered. The screws on the scales were proud, causing tiny little hotspots. The fit and finish was lacking too. You could unscrew the scales and remove them without having to unscrew the pivot. Not an issue if the scales were seated flush, but these did not. There was a pretty sizable gap between the liner and the scales. None of the issues I found were dealbreakers unto themselves, but all together they just weren’t what I was expecting from a knife that was $160+. White mountain was actually really easy to deal with. No muss, no fuss return. I’ll use them again, even if I’m wary of chaves.

The pocket clip is a little too short so it’s hard going in and out of my blue jeans . The thumb stud is unique looking but it’s not very functional .

I realize some are due to the manufacturers, but there many obvious errors that could be eliminated if the listings. were checked before updating the website.
