Great balance board, activates muscles that others just do not. Wide board is really comfortable for barefoot use, the cork does have a bit of smell to it but is comfortable. I do wonder if the skateboard tape would have been fine for barefoot use

I came across this while looking for general balance boards. Coincidentally, I’d just ordered a standing desk so I was intrigued. I saw some reviews raving about the leg strength and balance improvements so I figured why not try it. I am not exaggerating when I say my Whirly Board has been life-changing. I focus so much better standing on this board, it’s helped my ankle mobility tremendously, and gives me a way to stretch my calves throughout the day. I can now stand up and sit down from the floor with my legs together and without using my hands, and a lot of my ability to do that is from the gains I’ve made since using my board. Of course, your mileage may vary. Also, if you love it like I did and stand on it for 10-12 hours right out of the gate, your legs are going to be sore if you aren’t accustomed to being on your feet that long. But some recovery techniques like using a massage gun, spiky ball, and foam roller relieved it, and I was used to it in no time.

The whirly board has completely changed my work from home routine! I am now able to stand at my desk all day without any fatigue or pain. I used to stand as long as I could, but I would constantly get hip pain from leaning the same way. The whirly board keeps you moving without thinking about it which is fantastic! I own the "Original Whirly Board" and purchased the "Shred Session" mat. Shipping time was reasonable and the mat arrived without any damage. The mat itself is great, it is durable and flexible and does not move at all while I am spinning on my whirly board. The size of the mat met my needs for working on fundamental, ground, skateboarding techniques. I feel that this mat made using the Whirly Board a lot more fun and allows me to get a good workout in my core and leg muscles. When I'm not using the mat I just roll it up and slide it back into the shipping box that it arrived in.
