Use my desktop air purifier on my bedside draw. It's on 12 hours a day. Having many cats it helps with odours, hair and picks up on clearing out any foreign smell instantly eg, smoke from outside. I love the compact size and as a bonus I love the white noise it creates during the night and I use it as a night light also.
