Delivery was two days late so the flowers weren't in good condition when they arrived.

Although they arrived on time, the Tuesday before Mother’s Day, the flowers didn’t make it to Mother’s Day. They were drooping by Friday and there were dead flowers by Sunday. Wirecutter was wrong about this recommendation.
