Fragrance Sample
Feeling frustrated that I was told by customer service that I can only order a $5 sample of the new fragrance if I spend $50 first. I wouldn’t hesitate to pay the $5 for a sample, despite the fact that they’re normally free from a department store, as I understand UJ is a smaller operation. I’m happy to pay to cover shipping and potentially labor with that $5, but to limit a sample purchase based on spend feels unnecessary. If the sample were free with purchase, that would certainly be justifiable, but to have to spend $50 and then another $5 for the sample is unusual. Perhaps UJ simply has limited quantities available and this is how they’re managing demand? Regardless, I love the UJ style and will continue to purchase, this just felt counterintuitive to me.

The fragrance itself is lovely—fresh and slightly sweet, making it suitable for both day and night wear. However, the scent doesn’t last as long as I expected. I found myself needing to reapply several times throughout the day, which meant I had to use a lot more sprays than I typically would with other perfumes. If you don’t mind frequent reapplication, this could be a good option, but for those looking for a long-lasting fragrance, this might not be the best choice.
