I absolutely love my 3 new Ublockout shades for the bedrooms. I had new windows installed and decided to go with the outside mount which eliminated any trim work. This gave it a clean simple look. Easy to install and operates flawlessly. Most importanly, the room is pitch black at night as well as during the day, if needed.

We installed these in our bedroom and they are amazing. Completely black out the room allowing for way better sleep. The electric motor function paired with smart home capability make operating and automating the shades a breeze!

I bought 4 of these for my new house and went through the initial install process, which was well laid out with their directions. Initially, they were amazing, really blocked the light well. Over time, with pulling them up and down, they got a little wonky and needed some TLC. One of my shades completely fell down. I messaged their customer support and they were extremely helpful, but in doing our video consult, they were having me break down the shade into pieces even smaller than how it originally came. After 1. 5 hours of troubleshooting, I was going to have to uninstall the entire thing and re-install it. I don't think that's a good framwork for a home product. I have another product that just snaps together then push it into your window in minutes. It's not as "luxurious" but it sure is easy and blocks the light just the same. Anyway, it was discouraging after spending $1600 on these that I had to do all this troubleshooting and spend so much time doing so. The reason I have these shades is because I am a nightshift worker and have 3 kids. . so I just don't have the time to spend fixing something like this. Ultimately, UBlockout agreed to refund me for the one shade that had completely fallen and ripped, but only half a refund and I had to disassemble and send it back to get the refund - which I also found annoying because I don't have time to uninstall the whole thing, find a box that fits it then send it back. Honestly that's just a crazy ask with this size/shape product. I think it's a nice product but they need to pare down the pieces into something more user friendly for home install and troubleshooting OR find some contractors and train them to come into your home for install/troubleshooting. I'm moving this summer and in my new home plan on ordering the other blackout shades I purchased to avoid the headache.

My wife and I love our new shades. We regret not getting them sooner! The difference is night and day (literally). They fit perfectly and were easy to install.

I have installed hundreds of blinds in my career. These are simple and easy to install. They completely block out any light from coming through. User friendly after install as well. Well done Ublockout!

Purchased and installed two UBlockout manual shades. Instructions and videos were outstanding. My first night sleep after install was excellent. Will be doing the other bedrooms.

Shades are complete black out. I stalked each one in about 15 minutes. Very happy with the product.
