I first purchased these for a wilderness hike and found them to provide the steady energy I was looking for. A lot of the bars I like, have chocolate in them, and I wanted something that I could eat later in the day and not have to worry about it keeping me awake. The taste has a fruitiness and nuttiness that has grown on me, and I consider them a staple in my bar repertoire.
