I use this for E-foiling. I have tried ankle, knee and now waist leashes, and the later works the best. It’s all about what happens with the leash from initial take-off from prone, then pull up on knees, and then standing up. I find that the ankle leash keeps getting caught on ones toes. The knee leash keeps getting pulled down in the transition from prone to knees (and in a crash). The waist leash stays out of the way the best. Only downside is that in a crash one stays closer to the board, though have never made contact with foil or motor. This leash feels snug and just works.
