I had high expectations for my order from Studio K, but unfortunately, this has turned out to be my worst purchase ever. 1. Misleading Product Representation The website showcases beautiful images of the Lola Bamboo Flares, and while the fabric is indeed soft and high quality, the fit is completely wrong. I specifically contacted customer service to request extra-long legs due to my height, and while they did provide that option, it seems they simply added extra length in the middle of the leg without adjusting the flare accordingly. As a result, the pants do not flare out properly but instead remain slim throughout, with only a minimal widening at the very bottom rather than from the knee. This looks ridiculous. Flares are supposed to be wider than bootcut styles, yet the pants I received weren’t even wide enough to be considered proper bootcut. On the website, these pants appear to have a nice, flowing flare, but in reality, they are way too slim—even around the calf area, where they should be wider. This was a huge letdown. 2. Hidden Fees – Extra Costs That Weren’t Made Clear Ordering from Sweden (where this company is partly based), I was shocked to be hit with additional duty and VAT fees upon delivery—amounting to nearly 50% of what I had already paid. While they might have mentioned this in the fine print, they certainly did not make it clear enough. Instead, they encourage customers to place large orders by offering free shipping, which misleads people into thinking that it’s more economical to buy multiple items at once. In reality, this just results in significantly higher unexpected costs. 3. Poor Customer Service and No Fair Resolution When I reached out to customer service to express my dissatisfaction, they simply repeated that, since my order was customized (extra-long legs), I could not return the pants. When purchasing, a 'free shipping' claim didn't come with 'be careful you might have to pay 50€ custom' on top of the already expensive products. I have requested a refund because of the intrasparency (for example writing in the checkout that there might be customs to be payed additionally) and it was denied. Additionally I had to spend more than 1 hour trying to figure out how to accept the package due to complications with the customs. I'm sure the products are great, but the customer experience was very bad.
