I bought this Jacket as a mid layer piece and ended wearing its alone more often then not. . I managed to put a small hole in it and it’s so nice not to have feathers or stuffing falling out. Plus the ripstop material keeps the hole from opening wider. I’ve tried most all of the name brands(north face,Cotopaxi,Eddie Bauer, Duluth, rei, outdoor research and many others) and this one is by far my favorite. Great fit, warm and durable (never seen to make more than a season before I destroy one). Also, I had to make exchange for a larger size and return was super easy. Buy this jacket! For reference I’m 140 lbs 5’8” and I wear a size medium. Wish it came in more colors. Hint: Bright red, blue, green, gold????

First backpack hunt with the banditi Tipi 2 person. Set it up in both configurations with/without trekking pole, and both worked very well. For people under 6' tall, the generous vestibule makes this an actual "two person" tent. If you're over 6', the second person would have to be kid sized. Setup takes a little longer than a free standing tent, but still easy to do by yourself. Excellent ventilation. The floor is thin but not cheap feeling. We had decent wind gusts up around 20mph with driving rain for the better part of one of the days--everything inside stayed perfectly dry, and the tent was very stable. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the zippers are pretty chinsy. I foresee them being the weak link down the road. Overall, excellent value for a quality backpacking tent, especially for the weight. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality ultralight backbacking tent, especially since this one has a floor, which is rare for tents this light. Big selling point for me.

So I retired this past year after working in public service for a number of years. I have a degree in Recreation Park management and ended up working in the field for a few years younger in my life, but decided I needed to work elsewhere but kept my love for the outdoors, vibrant through backpacking, hiking camping over the years. Over the last three years planning for retirement. I’ve been upgrading and updating my camping backpacking equipment. I geeked out just a little bit in researching but what I found when it came to sleeping bags is that I need a bag that is long and a bag that is over 34 inches or at least 34 inches in the shoulder for width. I was also looking for a Primaloft sleeping bag. I have a down dry cooler three season sleeping bag that is 34 inches wide and long by a manufacture a well known manufacture. And so I wanted also to get a synthetic for three season for damper conditions. The Yonder long three season sleeping back is 93 inches long and 36 inches wide and is plenty warm and meets all the specifications that I need. The hood is great and has more insulation at the opening, like a padded collar that I call a ‘muffler’ around the opening that really helps insulate and keeps the cold out. The foot box is wide the shoulder width is very comfortable. There’s also a draft baffle all the way down the dual zipper length. The weight and compatibility of this sleeping bag is phenomenal too, and the compression sack that comes with is great. The nylon strapping that runs the length of the zipper on both sides of the zipper on the interior is also great to prevent snagging. That’s a feature I’ve seen on only a few other high-quality sleeping bags over the years. It’s plenty warm for what I’m looking for and what I’m using it for backpacking and hiking in three seasons in northern New England.
