So I ordered both the Stakt weights and Bala bars to compare them. The Stakt weights have a great ergonomic feel and, most importantly, no odor. The pieces screw in very easily considering those areas are all metal. They were heavier than I was anticipating and was a bit hesitant to be honest. I was looking for a 2lb weight. But I started getting emails from them with exercise ideas and online classes, and it got me really excited about the different ways I can use the weights. Then the Bala bars came in the 2lb size, and even though I didn’t see any reviews on this, mine do smell a little bit. It’s not a chemical smell or a sour smell, but it is something funky, and they haven’t aired out. So I will be returning them. However, I’m very pleased with these Stakt weights. I like that I can adjust the weight, and I like the look of them, they feel more mature. Looking forward to toned arms!

Right amount of cushioning without being overly soft. Great for yoga and for stretching, both inside and outside.
