It's not clear how to avoid a subscription renewal while also waiting to receive my initial magazine

I started a subscription in October and have yet to receive a magazine. I have contacted Customer Service multiple times and nothing gets fixed.

Never received my December edition of the magazine. Waited all month with no luck. Was even going to buy a copy but held out thinking that my monthly magazine would arrive, as it arrived last month! Disappointed
