My nephew suffers from multiple chronic medical conditions (Autism, Epilepsy and a brittle bone condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta) His brittle bone condition in combination with his Epilepsy puts him at an incredibly high risk of sustaining an injury if he falls while having a seizure and so when I found the "Ribcap" products I was overjoyed to find head protection that would not only help to keep him safe but would also look fashionable and not make him feel "different" from other teenagers when he wore it. For that I am incredibly grateful. We have already purchased two hats, the baseball cap and the "Iggy" and are very happy with them. Thankfully my nephew hasn't had a seizure in them yet so I can't speak to their effectiveness at the moment however the hats certainly appear like they offer a lot of head protection (cover his whole head) They are also comfortable, fit very well and look great! The "Iggy" in particular looks like a regular beanie! As terrific as Ribcap's product are, their customer service is just as great. We had a slight sizing issue at the beginning and when I contacted "Ribcap" I spoke to Frederik who was incredibly professional and friendly! He helped to resolve the issue very promptly. We bought this for our 8 year old son with epilepsy for school. The beanie style is great so he doesn't get teased about wearing it. very fast shipping, and excellent quality. We will order again in the future when our son outgrows his beanie.

We bought this for my mother in law. She was/is falling allot due to age and medical issues. In one week she had 8 falls, 3 of which resulting in hospital visits with head injuries. We found the Ribcap products and were intrigued. The look like a hat, not safety gear. We tried to buy one in the US (we are from Canada but it doesn't look like there is a Canadian distributor, sign me up!), but there was no stock in the US in mom's size. We went to the Ribcap site and they had stock. The shipping was only 10 dollars. For that little in shipping from the EU to Canada I was sure it would take weeks. Not the case. I ordered the cap Tuesday afternoon, it was on mom's head that Friday afternoon!!!! Now that's affordable, quality service. Since receiving the hat, Mom has received many compliments on it from people at the retirement home. They are all amazed to find out that it is actually a safety device. They think it's styling and cute. Mom has been asked by many where they can get one. We were asked by the medical staff at the home where to get them as they have been asked and want to be able to suggest them for residents that are prone to falls. Functional, yes! Unfortunately, mom has tested the hat with full backwards falling, resulting in hitting the back of her head off the not so forgiving floor (most everywhere in the home is carpeted concrete). No fall since she has been wearing the hat has required a hospital visit, no damage done. Amazing. The medical staff of the home are impressed with how well the hat performed. When asked about the fall and impact, mom said her head 'bounced' and didn't really hurt. Love this product, great fast service, can't say how happy we are. Mom is safer, and we aren't spending time at the hospital. (That might sound a bit selfish. We are there for her whatever/whenever is needed. She's mom, that's what she deserves. But 3 ER visits in 4 days is allot.) Highly recommend.

I was having difficulty shipping a cap to a rural area and the staff at Ribcap helped to get a much needed cap to my nephew. Also love that these caps have style and don't stand out as something to be pitied.

Truly appreciate the help from customer service to find what would work best for my mom. Shipping and delivery was quick and she loves it! Fits great and is so comfortable she forgets she’s wearing it. Now we have more peace of mind when she’s home alone.

I use it for on ice skating as a protective item in case of a fall hitting head. It covers the head nicely and would stay on if I should hit ice on a fall. That’s due to the strap under chin. I am recommending it to all my adult skaters.

It is very comfortable. I have not fallen with it, so I am not sure how safe my head will be.
