Prompt shipping and delivery. Seems to be very stoutly built. Nice stickers. Unit did not come with hydraulic coupler ends, top link pin, or lynch pins. Still a great value compared to other available brands. Somehow I thought there would be a spring to self center the free rotating grapple perpendicular to the boom but there is not. Must leave the pin out so as to be able to turn when dragging a load on the ground. I added a couple of bungie cords, and keeping the grapple closed until just before picking up a log or a pile helps to keep the grapple centered.

Work as they should

The slides came with 5/8” holes. Mine had 1/2” holes. Had to shim bolts to keep everything straight.

well built heavy duty works great

One of the wedges broke off within 3 hours of operating splitting white oak. 3 bolts broke on the slide 2 days later. Ramsplitter was contacted and agreed to send me a new "frame" that would entail me removing my cylinder and installing on the new "frame". Ramsplitter acknowledged the poor quality of the wedge steel and were seeking a new provider. I opted to wait until hopefully the steel quality of the wedges was better before sending me a new frame. We will see.

I ordered a 4 way splitter and got a two way. I contacted them about it with no response. I wound up buying a 4 way and mounting it myself. Annoying. The plate that it’s mounted too flex’s quite a bit. Eventually if I don’t add something to stiffen it it will fatigue crack. Other than those problems I like the splitter. I’ve done about 15 cords so far in the past couple weeks a few hours a day.

Works great ... easy to install - Received 2 cradles - one for each side. Still easy access to the splitter/cradle is not in the way. Only negative comment/suggestion - the corners should be slightly rounded insttead of 90 degree corner - hard on the thighs.

Nice chunk of steel!

Purchased this new nearly 10 years ago and have used it every year to easily handle hardwoods like beach, ash, and maple and stack cord after cord. Excellent power, easy to connect to tractor hydraulics. Only minor item it rotate/deflects under heavy logs (20" diameter) - but splits them easily.

Appears to be the equivalent of the original

First off no it's not a timberwolf but I'm not running a processing operation. On a true 20amp circuit it will take 24"x 16" rounds. Ergonomics could be improved but it's better than sitting on a milk crate with my HF splitter or swinging the axe. No oil to change. No carburetor to fight with. I'm gonna order the cradle and the 4-way to help with speed of work on the good stuff.

I had no response to my e-mails. With no model # on my splitter I was forced to order a seal kit based on what the splitter looked like . I went for a small residential 16 Ton kit. No schematics or installation instructions came with kit. I am very dissatified

I spoke with Doug about a 4 way wedge that fit over a little different size wedge that this model. He gladly made that happen. The wedge came via UPS the next day. It's a great looking, quality made product and works great. I am very satisfied.

Heavy duty well built

Well it is a good machine but needs improvements. First it needs different type of hitch to hook up to atv or rtv. Hitch is to high and there is no jack. Hard for 160lb. person to hook up. When i received my splitter from fed ex. the hitch was damaged. Waited over weeks to get one sent to me. When i did receive it the hole for the bolt to attach it would not line up. So after having a shop with drill press to drill the holes out i was out $50.00 Thanks

My wife and I have owned this model for over five years and have used it a lot as we help friends in their 80's prepare heating wood. Just two days ago the 82 year old wife was splitting with us. We did 1/2 cord in a few hours. The unit is not silent, but we talked during operation with no ear muffs. No fumes, low vibration, instant on (though we give it a 30 minute warm up in cooler weather) and no fuel cost. It only costs about 30 cents in electricity per hour. The machine sits next to the wood storage area and so far has weathered very well. At times we pull it back to be closer to large pieces of cut trees and use a 120 feet of #8 wire with 220V or power. So far we have only had one tough knot in a 23" log we could not get through without a second try at a different angle. The machine was heavy to unload piece by piece from a pickup truck and took two strong people to assemble. It tows nicely but we stay below 50 mph. Overall we are very pleased with this splitter!

Slider pads and bolts had to be replaced at 20 hours of use and need to be replaced again. The first time I called was told 90$ for new slider parts and bolts and that it would resolve the issue Frame broke just before the 6 way wedge not sure where to go from here
