Great service, sleeping bag has come back like new!

My sleeping bag had kept me warm the entire length of the Japan Alps, but after a journey of many years the zip had gone, the hood plastic cord stops had become brittle in the sun and had disintegrated, the goose down was now flat with clotted lumps and was in need of a good wash and some TLC. Thought I’d give the repairs service a try instead of sending it to landfill and I’m so happy I did. Ordered a Rab full zip replace and wash online in a few clicks from the service centre. Filled out the service centre cards once received and posted back. Waited the turnaround time displayed on the website and DHL returned my bag to me. Wow! The full zip replacement was expertly done, clean soft and fluffy with a mild fabric softener whiff; new again ready for the next adventure. Now the only things missing are the two plastic hood cord stops - any idea where I can get a couple of those?

This jacket is so warm and cozy. I am 5'7" and 125lbs, ordered a Small and it fits perfectly and is plenty roomy for layering underneath. I love that it is a longer puffy, it makes it even warmer. Huge pockets too. The hood is insulated and helmet compatible. Nothing bad to say about this jacket.

I wore the jacket on a 4. 5 hour hike up snowdon at the weekend. This was my first wear of the jacket. It was great for the first hour or two but then when it came to taking the jacket off at the end of the hike, my mid layer was drenched. I had adjusted the waist of the coat previously and this was fine. The midlayer was wet along the arms, chest and waist. The jacket provided EXCELLENT wind protection though!
