Elite ES55 vs Reserve R600, in my opinion they're somewhat similar; what matter most is "it depends" on your room setup. The Elite series have dome tweeters which are good and non-directional so it doesnt matter where you or your guests sit. The R600 is of course better all around in every way, HOWEVER: Its directional tweeter is very picky. You have to basically aim it at yourself, while your guests that it isnt pointed towards they miss out. For me, I got selfish and returned the ES55 and the R600 is incredibly amazing if its directional tweeter is pointed in your direction and its drivers have a lot of kick with the Xport for the price.

The R900 has good sound, great value, but not awesome as I'd hoped. I wish there was a larger version eg "R1000" model with larger driver and Xport to add some kick to the height sounds.

The R300 is not IMAX certified (just "compatible"), and no Xport. . . It sounds like a regular speaker in a box. Get the R400 with Xport and certification, its absolutely positively worth the extra cost for more than double the sound quality IMHO.

The R400 center speaker is the ONLY one that has an Xport and is IMAX Certified (not just "imax compatible"). WOW what a big difference between the other center speakers from Polk and this R400. For comparison: The R350 sounds like a very high pitched speaker in a box, and the R300 sounds like a regular pitched speaker but still in a box. Spend the extra money for an R400 without hesitation so you dont have to return the others. . .
