I researched Podus style boots in the past and chose this boot for a client who was unable to stand independently, and we used a pair of them for contracture management/reduction in bed, and assisted weight bearing and standing. I particularly like the straps used to control inversion/eversion. It's the ONLY boot I've found with this feature. There is also a great deal of surface area over which pressure is distributed. This, coupled with the thick liner helps protect fragile skin. I just ordered another one for a different client who needs knee and ankle alignment support, contracture management/reduction, and skin protection due to history of a chronic ankle wound. As an independent physical therapist, I attempted to get a professional price, but only hit a dead end. I received the product in a timely manner.
