Spent 21 bucks buying this, didn’t expect the taste to be this awful.

THIS IS THE ONLY SHAKE I CAN TOLERATE. AND DUE TO THEM BEING ON THE PRICEY SIDE I GET THEM FROM SAMS CLUB. THEY ONLY CARRY CHOCOLATE (WHICH IS NOT MY FAVE, BUT AT THE PRICE I GET THEM) THIS LAST BOX I HAVE IS SOOOOOO THICK!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT THAT THICK! I AM SO MAD I SPENT MY MONEY ON THIS AND I HAVE THROWN AWAY HALF THE BOX BECAUSE IT LOOKS SO OFFPUTTING. I TURNED IT COMPLETLY UPSIDE DOWN AND THE SHAKE WASNT COMING OUT. HAD TO SQUEEZE IT TO GET IT TO COME OUT. VERY UNHAPPY AND I GUESS ILL BE ON THE HUNT FOR ANOTHER PLANT BASED SHAKE BECAUSE THIS ONE IS TURNING INTO GARBAGE!!

Why are these added??

As others have mentioned, my latest 12-pack of cold brew coffee shakes tasted way off from previous batches I've received (best by date: Oct 2026). I tried several, thinking maybe it was my tastebuds, but no; unfortunately, these shakes definitely do not taste right. Thankfully, I have a few mocha double shot shakes left and will continue to enjoy those!

We have purchased several Owyn products. However, this most recent batch of Owyn pro-elite chocolate protein powder tasted moldy/ spoiled. We couldn't even finish one shake and had to throw away the rest.

I have also loved and bought the dark chocolate in the cartons for the past few years and have also experienced the same moldy taste recently as described earlier.

I relied on these shakes. I order 4 cases at a time. I always order dark chocolate. The past 2 cases tasted moldy and not normal. I always make my shake over ice. I went to pour it in the blender and chunks of clabbered protein drink came out. I took pictures. This was gross and disturbing. I don't know if Owyn has a quality control issue, but I would make sure customers receive fresh product. I'm not sure this is safe for consumption.

I wonder why you use such oversized containers for your powder. When I receive the 2lb. I empty into my 1lb. container and it fits perfectly. The smaller container is easier to use, but the larger one is cheaper. I would think it would save money using smaller size.

A mom-friend from my child's swim team recommended these and I was skeptical. I have NEVER found a shake I can drink that actually tastes good. Well - finally have. My IBS is not at all triggered, no horrible gas, no bloating, just 32g of easy to consume on the go protein. It's kind of silly how excited I am to have found these! The flavor does have a bit of an after taste - but compared to other protein shakes it's not better or worse. Just SUPER easy to digest!

Purchased chocolate Owyn for the first time. It's a bit pricey and I don't like the taste. I will just stick with soy milk. It tastes much better and has good protein. If taste matters don't buy this one

I wear a continuous glucose monitor, and the protein shakes do not increase my blood glucose over 100. This is great for me. Is the Sunflower Oil cold pressed?

I’ve had a sample OWYN drink in the past from my hello fresh delivery so I thought I buy it. But this recent purchase from had a disturbing surprise. After blending it with ice, I found a large, rubbery dark clump that should not be in a protein shake. I double-checked the expiration and followed all storage directions. Contacted OWYN and was told to go back to the retailer. While I appreciate that Sam’s accepted the return, I expected better quality control from a health-focused brand. Won’t be repurchasing until I can trust what’s inside. It was also a grayish brown color and not brown like chocolate should be…i attributed that to perhaps not using food coloring so i was ok with that possibility. But I don’t know if that’s what it should look like.

Overly thick and artificially sweet. Tried multiple flavors. All gross, thick, sweet. A more simplified list of ingredients would better suit the name. No help from customer service. Would not recommend.

Why do we put seed oils in everything

This is my first time trying OWYN product. I got a case of the Elite Pro 32 gram Chocolate shake and was not a big fan. It tasted very powdery, thick and nasty. Sorry I wasted my money.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years and only once received a bad batch of shakes (flaky texture) that customer service resolved. I recently received 36 shakes that all tasted completely rotten and submitted a customer service support request and it’s been over two months of back and forth of them not doing anything about it, and now I’ve had no response despite checking in for weeks. About $100 just down the drain. Quality control is apparently a problem if they can’t handle replacing or refunding an order of bad product, and looks like I’m not the only one facing degraded customer service.

Although we have been customers for a while, I am very disappointed with the quality of the product lately. The last batch was very clumpy. I wrote to them and the response was very underwhelming. Then, I ordered again recently and chose the wrong flavor by mistake. Immediately, I wrote to them to please make the flavor switch before shipping the order. They replied that, unfortunately, once an order was created, it could not be changed. They claimed it was because their fulfillment is so quick. It is interesting that that was Saturday night and as of today, Wednesday, I have not received the product. As a business owner and an educated consumer, I found their reply again disappointing and lacking creativity. In an environment where you should develop strong relationships with your customers, they seemed really relaxed about explaining that there was nothing they could do about it. This will definitely impact my future purchases.

This is the worst protein I’ve ever had. Taste gross and it’s so thick. Not drinkable. They claimed it’s the consistency but it was tough coming out of the bottle. You have to water it down. Consistency and flavor are a 0/10… DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. . stick to Premier Protein. If I could give this 0 stars, I would.

I used the 32g elite vanilla everyday in the protein coffee. Best flavor ever. I order a huge order through the website. But the price is sooo much more expensive online!!! I found them in store for only $2. 25 a bottle rather then $3. 47. Super dissapointed. i tought the website would give me the best deal but iwas wrong. DONT BUY ONLINE. go to walmart or winco. Even fredmeyers was cheaper

I bought a 20 g bottle and liked it. When I went back to get more, I saw a 4 pack of 32g in cardboard. I put one in the fridge and when I tipped it to drink, nothing came out. When I squeezed the container, some came out. It tasted okay, but the consistency was like pudding. I felt like I was drinking pudding. I put it back in the fridge and began researching if this is normal or if I got a bad batch.
