I have purchased six Moultrie camreas. 2 of the first edge series, 4 of the edge 2’s. I’ve had a great experience with the first edge series but the edge 2’s have been a headache. The battery life is terrible, on demand doesn’t work all of the time, and I’ve noticed a lot of the times they don’t check in regularly, today I had to use on demand to get them to check in and take pictures of deer standing right in front of them.
I’m currently running around 17 cams on my property it’s a drive to get to so for security reasons and hunting reasons. I found a two pack of these cams on sale so figured I’d give it a shot. One camera is great. The other… it never connects it just runs through batteries so I paying monthly for batteries and a subscription. . I reached out and customer service was fast but would not give a refund for camera or subscription so I’m paying for something that doesn’t work. Save your time or energy.
You have switched to a virtual automation assistant which is very confusing. I called 3 times and could no longer speak with a person. Says to enter #2 when prompted for call back but never gives the prompt - then disconnects. I use to brag on how great Moutrie was at customer service and receiving the traditional person to person assistance without a lot of automation hoops to jump through. Now I dread having to call for assistance. No matter how much I like your cameras I won’t remain a customer or recommend you to others.
I had a issue with the solar panel they did send me a new one but now my camera is maybe a year old and it is taking pictures of nothing over and over and will not work not turn it off and back on it won't work but maybe 2 minutes and stops and I went to the support line and them said it is checking it and I send them screenshot showing that its not working and they say its working fine so now I am paying for a camera service that will not work the support line was 0 help they keep saying to do this do that and nothing works than they say its working on there end but it doesn't on my end But when they work properly there the best cameras i have had
I own 4 of these cameras and have had issues with all 4. I’ve spoken to numerous employees and managers about these issues and have had no luck in correcting them or exchanging them for new ones. Cameras are not taking pictures and are disconnecting making the whole point of a “cell cam” useless when I have to go pick these up and try to trouble shoot the issues on my own. Cameras are constantly pending health checks and check ins when signals are good/great. The list of issues is endless. I do not recommend this product and will not purchase another Moultrie camera.
I have been trying for 2 days to talk to a live person all i can get is chat or virtual assistant this company talks a big came it has terrible customer service
