Dead River to Kennebec: Recently ordered a 9’ 5wt Dead River fly rod over the Maine Fly website and felt all went smoothly. Soon after, I got an email from Maine Fly explaining that their website was not up to date on all quantities and that the Dead River was not available. As a solution, Maine Fly offered to upgrade my purchase to a 9’ 5wt Kennebec fly rod for no additional charge. I recently received my Kennebec fly rod, which looks awesome, can’t wait to use it! Went to Maine Fly Company and purchased a Magalloway rod and Ross reel and love it !! The service I got was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Spoke with Jeff the owner about my 30 yr old rod that means a lot to me and needs repair, he said he would try to do his best and fix it. Where the other company wouldn’t look at it.
