Glad to see Looft is selling this shield. I got distracted when lighting my grill and ended up melting the end of the shield (aluminum). The lighter still worked, but probably not great to use it without the shield. Installation was pretty straight forward, even without instructions. Remove the screw holding on the bottle opener, the old shield slides off. Re-use the bottle opener and screw to install the new one. Shipping was prompt.

I saw all the reviews and decided to get one as It was occasionally taking a while to get my Egg lit… well the Looft lighter took care of that . So in my experience the Egg is lighting up Way Quicker and the coals are raging hot to get that grill nice a hot …exactly what I wanted! So for me thus far I am extremely pleased and have already recommended the Looft Lighter to my other friends who have a Kamoto grill . Awesome product 👍

This is better than a chimney, I was able to get to temp and clean smoke 20 mins earlier than just using a chimney. I love this thing!
