I bought Lick Black 02 eggshell as my customer insisted on that colour. I’m always sceptical about “multi surface paints” and my fear was realised when painting the customer’s woodwork. It took 3 coats to cover a grey primer but looked chalky and scratched off very easily when abrading between coats, right back to the primer. . I contacted customer service who said it needs to cure for 7 days before rubbing down!! So I have to wait a week between coats? That’s just not practical as a professional decorator. I coated the finished woodwork with some decorators varnish, hopefully that will give the paint the durability it’s so clearly lacking.

Advice provided was what I needed and easy to understand. When looking at WHITE 03 I found that the room setting was too far away from colour swatch. Presentation of true colour should be better. The trade site does not offer the all surface paint which I find confusing as I have to use a professional to do the job.

I needed to contact customer service with some questions, and it took over a week for them to respond. I immediately provided the requested information, and 5 days later I am still waiting for the answer I need.

I used this colour in a north facing utility room and must say that the colour appears so much darker than on the chart and on the tin, in fact it looks a totally different colour ! . I don't dislike it but also don't love it either ,

We were using white 04 and it was a lovely tone, we needed another tin for touch ups but was from a different store (different batch). Unfortunately the tone was noticeably different - but Lick were very kind as to help us out and rectify the discrepancy. Brilliant customer care and will certainly be using again!

The customer service at Lick is second to none. I will always choose a Lick product before their competitors because I know I will have peace of mind if there are any issues. The colour range is also amazing and the quality of paint is very high.

Paint is lovely but not sure why there’s a £5 refund charge. It’s free elsewhere.

I had two tins of paint that did not math in colour. Lick were fantastic and immediately sent me two more tins without any hassle. Lovely quality paint and beautiful colours.

Lovely selection of colours, such a good product. I’ve used the eggshell on all my woodwork and walls and it’s been so durable and looks great. Customer service were also extremely helpful when I had a question to ask, super job Lick!
