I have a round, 4k yellow gold engagement ring that I wanted replicated for wearing to the gym or on vacation, ensuring the safety of my real ring. The replica, acquired about 4 months ago in a size 9, has served its purpose well. However, as I've been losing weight, I recently purchased another in size 8. This has prompted me to wear the size 9 replica daily while awaiting resizing of my real engagement ring. Unfortunately, frequent wear, particularly during gym sessions, has caused slight tarnishing and altered the ring's shape from round to more oval. Nonetheless, the replica, especially the size 8, will be reserved for occasions when I prefer not to wear my genuine engagement ring.
