This dog door lasted 20 years with 7 rambunctious dogs in and out every day several times. That’s why I replaced it with another one.

The main reason for buying this product was based on the claim in the opening sentence that this doors are chew resistant......well I guess they never meet a basset hound puppy. These doors are part of a kennel and the bassets chew them right up and they need constant replacement. Maybe for a house and one dog they are okay, but they are not what is advertised, chew resistant.
