Worth it just for the experience.
Very unique experience. I bought a second set of hands in a different color. This purchase has pushed me to start buying parts and make my own watches.

Great Project
All the parts were nicely finished and the instructions were clear. The finished watch is beautiful.

No issue at all assuming and FUN!
Got mine for Christmas and assembled it today. Fun experience and I had zero issues. I highly recommend the tool for the second hand assembly as I can see it would be difficult without.

I love my DIY watches
I love my 2 DIY watches. the kits have high-quality components with good design. Got the full tool set with the first so just order bare kits now. The instructions are great, and with patience and a steady hand you can make a really nice watch. My friends think these are new micro-brand watches I paid hundreds more for, and are blown away when I tell them I assembled it myself. I’m already planning my next one!!

I love my watch, thank you
I ordered a diver kit plus a few assorted and customised extras. Everything arrived packaged together, customs duty paid for by sender. The laser-etched custom face looks amazing and makes this a special watch for me.

Great DYI Adventure First Timer
You have top quality products and your videos for assembly are easy to follow and understand. The most difficult part was installing the hands but after several attempts and with the help of the second hand installation tool I figured it out. The one problem I have is with the availability of being able to purchase watch cases only? I sure there are many DIYs that design their own watches and only need certain parts like only the case and bezel. Thank you

Explorer with extras!
Gave the DIY watch club a try. Ordered the lucky grab bag Explorer entry level kit. I've been buying and trading watches for a while so have a sense of how to at least clean and do minor repairs to watches. This kit was very well put together. Great instructions by video and then the watch itself was high quality. Had a nice Japanese automatic movement. I received the bonus exhibition case back. This was a great experience and I would recommend this to anyone new and wanting to put their first watch together. Look forward to trying some more difficult builds in the future.

Enjoyable and easy
Good parts and assembly is easy and fun. I just wish there were more dial options, particularly without DWC branding.

Pilot Watch w/band and upgrade tool kit.
Finally made time to devote assembly of DIY Pilot Watch. Video instruction was very concise and easy to follow. Spot on about for about 2.5 hour process. Upgraded Tool Kit is of very nice quality and has tools that will help with all my watches. End result is excellent! Very pleased!

Valuable learning experience with a pleasing outcome.
As an experiment, I bought the DIY Expedition white-faced winter special kit. (I actually also ordered the second-hand installation tool, but that did not arrive.) The price was modest, and I liked the simplicity of the resulting watch, as shown in the photos on the web site. When the box came I did an inventory and -- with the tools I had already on hand -- was ready to go. The experience of assembling this thing was almost completely demystified by the lucid instructional videos; part of the learning curve is paying attention to detail at *a very small level* so, for instance, it took me a moment to understand where to push to release the stem from the movement. In any case, I set out to put the thing together; the dial (a sandwich affair with a pleasing depth) went on nicely, over the crown spring. I then confronted hand installation. In the event, putting in the GMT, hour and minute hands was more or less uneventful -- I proceeded deliberately, and everything worked out perfectly. I then spent forty minutes installing the second hand. Chalk this up to experience! And very useful experience too; in the course of positioning this thing for the umpteent time it sprang out of the tweezers as if fired from a cannon and disappeared into the hinterland of my study. It was at this time that I fully appreciated the wisdom of DIY's decision to include a duplicate set of hands; thank you! Finally, despite the dire warnings of possible damage to the movement, I settled on a method where I held the hand pushing tool in my left hand and position the second hand on the pinion with the tweezers in my right; carefully surveying the thing at as many angles as I could manage, I became confident that I was in fact over the pinion...and pushed. Bingo! Placement was perfect. I was grateful that I did not have to think about additional spacers, or case clamps with teensy screws -- though I shall confront these in the subsequent builds I'm now emboldened to attempt. Casing the mo...
