This is the swiss army knife of the Intelligent lineup. I haven't been in a situation where this would be inappropriate. If you were to just get one Intelligent fragrance, this would be the one to get. Platinum and Carbon are sweeter, but Gold is also sweet. Cobalt, Silver, Iron, and Neon are fresher, but Gold is also fresh. Argon is richer, but Gold is also quite rich. H2O and Hydrogen are sharper, but Gold is also has a kick to it. Simply put, Gold checks all the boxes. I don't even know how to describe the smell, other than "it just smells GOOD". If I had to put a finger on it, I guess you could say it kinda smells like grapefruit and ginger, but that description does this scent a disservice because its so much more than that. As far as longevity and projection/sillage goes, ymmv because fragrance performs differently on different people's skin. That being said, I sprayed a test strip in the morning before work and could still smell it when i returned at the end of the day. For most people, 2-3 sprays on the neck and you'll be good to go for most of the day.

Smells exactly as the title says. To me, it essentially smells like a Christmas wreath. Being from Wisconsin, this is a very nostalgic and pleasing scent. Definitely not a "in your face" or seductive fragrance. Its not really that sweet either. I'm not really getting the zesty citruses like the description says. But, its more of a "hmmm. . . you smell really nice" sort of fragrance. Unless someone you run into hates the smell of plants, I don't see how someone could hate this. Of all the Intelligent line, this one as well as Silver, Iron, and Cobalt are the ones that smell like something you'd actually find in nature. So, when wearing these you smell much more "natural" if that is your thing. As far as longevity and projection/sillage goes, ymmv because fragrance performs differently on different people's skin. That being said, I sprayed a test strip in the morning before work and could still smell it when i returned at the end of the day. I find this one to smell identical to H2O, but muted a bit. Its got that same, uber masculine "sharp" smell (my nose picks up a mixture of diesel fuel, hairspray, isopropyl, and a couple drops of lime juice) as H2O. I find it very polarizing, and something you'd wear not to impress, but when you mean business. But, unlike H2O, I don't think you're as likely to gas people out with this stuff. So, if you like this scent, I would suggest getting both H2O and Hydrogen, and use them for the right situations. Going to be outside a lot? H2O is the better choice. Happen to be in the car with the in-laws? You better pray you're wearing Hydrogen and NOT H2O. If I had to choose one word to describe this scent, it would be SHARP. My nose finds this scent to be extremely polarizing. I don't really see it as a "seductive" fragrance, or something you would wear to impress someone. To me, this is something you would wear when you mean business. This is fragrance has a vibe that is the polar opposite of scents like Platinum and Argon. Although to me it smells like the final boss of masculine scents, when you really think about it, it kinda just smells like a mixture of diesel fuel, hairspray, isopropyl, and a few drops of lime juice. Again, its and extremely "sharp" sort of smell. Also, my nose finds Hydrogen and H2O to smell exactly the same, but H2O is much more amped up than Hydrogen. So if you like this scent, I would get both H2O and Hydrogen, then wear Hydrogen when you want to be low-key, and H2O when you want to go kick down doors. As far as longevity and projection/sillage goes, ymmv because fragrance performs differently on different people's skin. With that said, I sprayed it on a test strip in the morning before work and could still clearly smell it when I returned at the end of the day. With this one, I would say only 1-2 sprays MAX on the neck because this stuff is STRONG. You could easily gas people out with this if you aren't careful.
