The date of a baby shower I was hosting crept up on me. It was to be on a Sunday afternoon -- not a brunch or a lunch, but the middle of the afternoon before everyone's dinner hour. I remembered having received a gift from Instead of Flowers and checked out the site. Perfect! The charcuterie boards sounded delicious. On Thursday before the shower on Sunday, I placed an order for 2 large boards. They arrived Friday afternoon. I unpacked the very well packed shipping boxes and put it all in the fridge. Made the cake and prepared a fruit platter on Saturday and placed the board foods out on Sunday. There was so much food, I plated it on two much larger boards. The food was scarfed up! Guests loved the unusual variety of cheeses and condiments. I highly recommend Instead of Flowers!

My brother’s mother-in-law lives with them, and she needs low sodium meals. I added a request to the order to make it as low sodium as possible, and my brother shared that they did a beautiful job with keeping it low sodium. I didn’t realize they could do that as it wasn’t one of the options on the ordering pages, but they evidently could, and did it well!

I have ordered from you quite a few times. In the past, it was very easy to select a gift of one of the premium meals and have that information sent to the participant so that they could order when they wanted to do so. However this time when I thought I was sending a “gift”, I ended up sending a gift certificate for $151. 13 which was kind of awkward and not at all what I wanted to do

I ordered the shrimp and grits option as a gift for a special occasion for someone out of state craving southern fare and they were blown away by the delicious food. I appreciated how easy and clear the website ordering process was. I also appreciated the communication from Instead of Flowers regarding shipping and delivery status. Most of all, I loved how happy and delighted the recipients were. So impressed by this company!!

The delivery service was excellent. Food was packaged very well.

It was easy to order with lots of delivery date options. Arrived exactly when scheduled. A little too pricey to add to our regular routine, but an absolutely wonderful treat for anyone who needs a nice meal and a little extra TLC.
