Simple and well made?

I absolutely adore this camera. It took me a couple packages of film to get a real feel and the hang of using the Flip as it was my first Polaroid camera. Once it clicked though…INSTANT LOVE. I shoot a mix of 35mm film or digital usually, this was my first intentional foray into instant photography and it’s just magic. Once I understood how the film reacts to light in the scene it became very easy to use and get great shots every time and the ability to use manual controls on the camera through the app is extremely handy and fun. Would I wish for some of those manual controls to be on the camera so I can keep my phone in a pocket? Sure but I also understand that not every time I or anyone using a Polaroid camera wants to use manual controls and instead just have the camera work its magic. I also love that the Flip flips closed over the lens adding a layer of protection and the sonar autofocus is such a cool method of focusing. It’s always a sad day when I run out of film. I’ll be subscribing for auto shipments of film so I never run out. 10 out 10 Polaroid you’ve got a big fan in me! @abouzinelos on Instagram

It seems like most of the time the sx-70 film is more punchy than I’d prefer. Every once in a long while I get a pack that has smooth, more true-to-life tones which are to die for. With that said, been shooting it for several years and I’m happy either way.
