I'm a plumbing contractor. I was on a project that we were wrapping up and I was checking some PVC glue joints that one of the guys had put together. The water was on and the system was pressurized. While I was in my hands and knees checking a 1 inch PVC joint that was pressurized ( to 160 PSI without my knowledge ) my glasses had slid down my head on to my eyes. I let them on because I figured I should while checking the joints. A few seconds later a 1 inch 90 blew and broke completely loose from the pipe and hit me square in the lens of the glasses. Probably came off at 100 mph. Glasses stayed in tact and saved my eye. If I wasn't wearing them I would've either lost my eye or had been very badly hurt and in the hospital. 100% HUGE THANKS for making these safeties so damn strong. .
