Pleasure doing business with Guns,com Received my 1894 Marlin in excellent condition, It's a beautiful beast. The grey laminate stock, complements the barrel and receiver quite nicely, sights are good, and it's drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Love the 1894 design, and fit and finish is is excellent. It's pretty darn accurate too! Recoil using . 38 Special is very mild. I would highly recommend using it to hunt with, especially medium size deer, and smaller. It's also great for Target shooting for a day out on the range. Lastly, it makes for a great home defense option because it's a carbine, and if you own property, it's a nice little option for carrying in your truck to dispatching varmints. All in all, can't go wrong with this one. It's an excellent rifle for any situation. Will definitely use Guns. com again for future orders!
