Hello, Originally, I didn’t intend to write, however, after your request I changed my mind. Perhaps it will help increase transparency. First, I want to say that I do not regret my choice, because this is exactly the putter I wanted due to its technical parameters – MOI, toe-hang, head shape and alignment aids. I didn’t want a blade, as they have too much toe-hang. I struggle with the yips, so I also need a putter that is heavy, with a lot of mass and inertia. That’s why, after several months, I chose the Futura 5. 5M. I already own a Futura 7, but that one is face-balanced. I selected this putter based on the photos and reviews. However, I do not know who made the photos and wrote the review. I would have changed the grip anyway – that was never an issue for me. However, there was no information anywhere that the putter came without a headcover. The surface was badly damaged, which was not very noticeable from the photos. Refinishing it – grinding, polishing, and restoring the original matte finish – took me 7 days, working in the evenings, which I enjoyed. But I did not expect such heavy damage from the photographs. I will have the insert professionally re-anodized to restore its proper finish. What was completely unreasonable, however, was the very amateurish repair of the insert. If this was repaired by you, then please at least use paint that actually dries. The paint on the putter when it arrived was really sticky. Removing the paint from the entire insert took about 120 minutes of pure working time, including dismantling the insert. So, to sum up: the photos and description were completely non-transparent. The putter can be restored to look decent – Scotty Cameron is more or less an artisanal hand-crafted piece – so it deserves an appropriate approach or at least accurate information.
