I’ve ridden every big boy short board around, PJs, RNF, performance mid lengths. This board is on another level. Paddles like a dream, gets you into any wave and turns on a dime. The machado fins really add to its speed and turning ability. Haven’t touched another board in my quiver since I got it. Legit dream board. Service was top notch. Board is surprisingly lightweight and maneuverable, yet still smooth and carries momentum well. Paddles well for me (6 ft 210 lbs) and still able to duck dive. Excited to ride it again and definitely my favorite board now!

Have a full quiver of Kelly’s boards…switched years ago from Patterson, and Pyzels before that. I tried Slater design boards at surf ranch 4 years ago, and never looked back. Everything about the Machadocado seems to work. It catches waves like a way bigger board but still maintains a lot of maneuverability. In my top 3 favorite boards of all time for sure.

Shipped from the company super quick, nil issues however the courier company’s used leave the product sitting for over a week or more in their warehouse, previously had to pick up our board ourselves as the company wouldn’t/couldn’t deliver until they were ready.
