I bought this after a “cheaper” version of a headlamp stopped functioning recently. It was one of those plastic/vinyl ones with ads on many media site. I came across this recently and remembered buying a flashlight from Fenix many years ago. This head harness has s much studier feel with parts that feel like they wouldn’t just stop or break apart in harsher field conditions. I use this for riding my bike in night time downtown here in Austin. Love the adjustable brightness and feel on my head!

Excellent SAR light. The light output is great for my need, which is searching for crew-overboard in the Pacific Ocean at night in rough water. The brightness is good enough that it will illuminate floating objects that are too small to identify due to distance away from me. Three points to remember: the rubber cap over the charge port is not very secure; the battery takes hours to recharge and most search efforts take longer than the battery will last during use; the light does not float so use the wrist strap.

Fenix Lighting has been great to order Fenix lights from. I now own many lights and lanterns. Fast and free shipping is always good. I've read that their customer service is good too, although I haven't had to use them, as none of my lights have given me trouble as of yet. Highly recommend.
