Absolutely unacceptable customer service from Alpinestars. It's clear that, in my experience, they do not stand behind their products when there's a legitimate defect. I contacted them about a pair of defective riding pants, and their solution was insulting: a $50 credit, but only if I shipped the defective pants back. So I'd be left without the pants I paid for and with a matching jersey that's now useless to me. For a premium brand that charges premium prices, this is a disgraceful way to treat loyal customers. Instead of taking responsibility for a defective product, they offered a token credit that doesn't come close to replacing the gear or making things right. If you're considering buying Alpinestars gear, keep in mind that if something goes wrong, you may be left fighting for a fair resolution. Based on my experience, I won't be purchasing from Alpinestars again, and I can't recommend them to anyone who expects a company to stand behind the products it sells.
