Eclipse Holsters: A Love Letter Disguised as a Review I didn’t plan to become a holster guy. I was perfectly content being a gun guy. But then somebody in a Facebook group typed four words that changed my life: “Just get an Eclipse. ” And like every responsible adult who takes tactical gear advice from strangers on the internet, I did exactly that. Best decision I’ve made since I married my wife. Possibly better. She doesn’t fit my G17 this well. You go to the website. You start customizing. This is where Eclipse quietly becomes dangerous — not in the “negligent discharge” sense, but in the “I just spent 45 minutes picking Kydex colors and now I want three of them” sense. Coyote with topo engraving? Done. FDE with a light cut and optic window? Add to cart. Multicam pattern because you apparently have zero chill? Sir, this is a holster website, not a therapist’s office — but yes, they’ll make it. The customization options are genuinely unreasonable. In a good way. In a “my wallet is filing a restraining order” kind of way. It’s custom. It takes a minute. You will check your email compulsively. You will refresh the tracking number like it owes you money. You will consider, briefly, whether you made a mistake. You didn’t. The package shows up and suddenly you understand what people mean when they talk about craftsmanship. The fit is stupid tight — first click and you’ll stand in your kitchen re-holstering your unloaded pistol like a complete weirdo for twenty minutes straight. No judgment. We’ve all been there. It’s a rite of passage. Gold accent screws. Gold accent screws. Eclipse said function is great but we’re also going to make it look like it belongs in a display case, and honestly? Respect. The clip setup is solid, the retention is adjustable, and the sweat guard actually does what sweat guards are supposed to do — which is more than I can say for my gym membership. Small operation. I only have holsters from T1C and Vedder to compare it to, but the quality is absolutely on par — if not better — than both companies. The Kydex is slightly thinner, which I actually prefer, and the finish quality is exceptional. These holsters are also far more comfortable than any others I’ve owned. On top of that, their customer service is outstanding. They’ve definitely earned a lifetime customer!

the holster i purchased around a year ago survived a motorcycle wreck and still had the pistol in it 40 yards down the road. had some cosmetic damage to the holster and pistol but both still work flawlessly. you cant be mad at that result.

Another holster that will end up in a drawer somewhere. Poor fit, comfort definitely not taken into account.

I’ve been hung up on a different brand iwb holster for some time now. I tried one of these because of a sale that was going on and I have to say, it disappears when you slip it in that waistband. I got my first one for a full size handgun (which I don’t normally carry) and found myself wearing it to the gym in sweatpants. These things are awesome I highly recommend!!!

I think it’s an excellent holster & very high-quality, but the one I happened to get, is so tight it’s really hard to get the pistol out of it. It probably requires filing off a little bit, but I don’t have equipment to do that sort of thing. I would’ve thought maybe the fit would’ve been tested before sent to me, but? :-(

I’m sure they are great. I just never got them. FedEx delivered to the wrong address, and said oh well tell the company they came from. So I’m out 125 dollars.

Communication was top notch. The product is well made with attention to detail on the finishing of the holster. The edges are smoothed out nicely, and the color and print is vibrant and clear. This is my new go to holster company. My only suggestion for future development is to build in the rear pad to the holster like Tenicor holster has. Thank you for a great product.

This holster is awesome. Have to admit, I was a little leery, as the “name” is touted quite as much as a lot of other holsters. Nevertheless, this holster is AWESOME, retention is great, feel is great, fit to the gun is great. I work construction and regularly wear this holster/gun while being bent over in a ditch, shoveling, connecting pipe, etc, and it absolutely couldn’t be more accommodating in appendix carry. I dig all the designs and colors and will DEFINITELY be buying more. Also, the shipping was ASTOUNDING, I think I ordered it on Thursday afternoon and had it Saturday. Awesome job Eclipse, this is the epitome of what small business should look like.

I had been searching for a good quality but straight forward holster that could be used appendix, strong side, or with off body bags. I came across eclipse holsters in my search and it seemed like it was worth a shot. I ended up picking up a garage sale holster and a mag pouch figuring if things weren't exactly as I hoped, it would still be a price I felt good about. I placed the order on a weekend and within hours had confirmation and by the next morning it showed as shipped which was beyond expectations. After everything arrived I was instantly impressed with the fit and finish. They reference the audible "click" and they weren't kidding. My pistol was the most secure I've found yet. I want to know that it will be where I expect it to be when I need it the most and that it is secure without wiggling or repeated re-holstering. To that point, the adjustment to the retention truly works as well where as other brands do get tighter or looser but retention feels more-or-less the same. If you've handled or purchased more than a few holsters, you know what I mean. Lastly, I sent a message to inquire about other products of interest and I received a reply within hours. Really impressed. If you read this, don't hesitate to purchase from them but if you do, just drop them a message and ask questions.

Just picked up my new holster in Tropic Thunder specialty print — and it’s straight fire. Holds my full-sized Glock 19 with a TLR1 like it was custom poured for it. The fit is snug, the draw is smooth, and it gives off serious Miami Vice meets Magnum P. I. energy. It rides perfectly in my Eberlestock Fade bag, ready to roll whenever I am. Built right here in the USA, and you can tell — solid craftsmanship and flawless detail. Honestly. Very poorly. I have tried to make contact with support twice and I still haven't heard back. I was able to figure it out through my financial institution. However the invoice and card doesn't match the card I didn't authorize being used. I won't be recommending your company anymore. Or using it personally. Do better.

Poor quality, I also unfortunately ordered the incorrect size making it that more useless for me.

I currently own several different Eclipse holsters for several different pistols and love each and every one. My hands-down favourite model is the Molly B. which goes from purse to vehicle to bedside to safe wall with ease and keeps my weapons secure and ready. Each holster I've purchased from Eclipse is a perfect fit, and the tension is easy to adjust. So, too, are the various clips for the IWB and OWB holsters, which makes for tremendous versatility. If you enjoy the occasional surprise, definitely consider purchasing the Mystery Print option (especially fun for the Molly B's!) Eclipse Holsters has truly stood apart in the holster industry. I don’t know how many kydex holsters I have, but it’s a fairly large number. As a former Green Beret, good gear is important to me. Excellence isn’t optional when it comes to firearms and their accessories. My new Eclipse holster is more comfortable and better built than some of my holsters that were twice the price. It’s the first Eclipes holster I’ve purchased and will not be the last. Unlike some of the other major web-based brands, this is truly a qualify product, from the fit to the finish, the hardware to the design, everything is top notch. The pricing was better than the competition as well. Who knew something like a kydex holster could stand apart so clearly from competitors.
