VERY GOOD

I'm a Born-Again Christian who grew up in the Catholic church. 'I'm still reading this book, but so far I feel that this book encompasses just about everything you need to know to walk with Christ in this modern and lost world we live in. This is certainly a must read for all Christians, not just Catholics.

When there was a delay in delivery, the team was exceptionally helpful and generous. I was able to share the duplicate order with friends at no cost to me.

I don't want to be unkind in this review, but I must be honest about my reaction to it. I don't understand how Dynamic Catholic, who's whole identity is in promoting the Catholic faith can publish a book that references Native American spirituality throughout, which technically can be classified as pagan by Catholic theology. I also found it disturbing that 'Father Mark' would allow Kevin to speak on that spirituality in a Catholic church. And I found it a bit off putting how Kevin would talk to the statue and reference it as if it was actually Mary herself. I felt there was a lot of 'telling' in the book about the statue influencing Kevin and other's lives, but it didn't seem like there was much 'showing' of how it did. I kept reading to see if there would be some concrete examples of that but finally had to stop reading on page 142 where Kevin shared this. . . "pray a simple prayer my Iroquois grandfather taught me: "To all my relations, to the sky world, I come into your world. Bless and protect me. " In my opinion, this is a rather pagan way of prayer, and I just couldn't read any further. One last note, I did not like having Kevin representing Mary as broken. In the Catholic faith we believe Mary was born without sin, is glorified by God in heaven, and is anything but broken. I'm sorry to say that I would not recommend this book to any of my Catholic friends.
