Very happy. Arrived in the time promised. Easy to install. The instructions were good. Also it YouTube had good instructions on how to install it as well.
I am very pleased with the ARRIS TG1682G modem. I bought this modem to replace a rented Comcast-Xfinity Triple play modem in February 2017. I am not sure why it is in such short supply, but if you keep watching, it will eventually turn up as available. When you get one, and follow the directions, Comcast will get you setup using their online process. Mu set up has another router connected to the back of the TG1682G. This second router currently does all of the router functions including wireless wifi, and printing.I suspect the new router has better wifi, but that is just a guess. My intent was to move everything to the TG1682G, but was dissapointed that the USB ports do not work. Supposedly they are to work in the future, but no words as to when. The ARRIS website doesn't shed much light on this either. I may just end up replacing my "back end" router with something like a ASUS RT-AC87U because it has the USB ports I would like to have. I would recommend this to anyone wh does not need USB ports for printers or hard drives.
It has only been 10 days since I received my Modem, but I have had several of my regular calling friends/relatives tell me that my voice is so much clearer and the volume is louder then it's ever been. My internet download speed has also been better and my TV reception always was pretty good so hasn't changed. I was hesitant to change Modems, but Comcast kept telling me there was nothing wrong with mine, but I knew there was an intermittent problem, but they wouldn't change it out for me. I'm a "Senior", but was able to work through the "Activation" process (with the instructions provided.) So far, it was money well spent. I didn't even realize that I ordered a "Re-conditioned" Model-(normally, I would have ordered new, but do not have a problem at this time).
It is worth every penny working perfect. Could not be more satisfied. Thanks.
Great company and people to work with. Kept me informed and item arrived on time. Thanks.
It seems to be working just fine and the installation went very easy
Worked as advertised with Optimum/Cablevision of Long Island. An important note for all folks considering to purchase & install their own cable modem - you MUST call your cable provider tech support to (politely) register & activate your new cable modem CMAC # - otherwise it will unlikely work as you hoped.
The Arris I received in 2 days after ordering it was the exact same as the Optimum modem except for the “Optimum” logo on the front. It was a plug and play replacement but I did need to engage Optimum support via a chat session on their website to provide some numbers off the new unit so they could recognize it. My Optimum tech couldn’t have been nicer. I returned the Optimum modem to one of their Stores where no questions were asked. I am saving $5.35/month and my new modem will have paid for itself in 10 months.
Verizon does not work with other routers so this one is your best bet for the fastest router upgrade
Optimum user, plugged it in, went to browser to register and internet and phone worked right away, $50 vs. $4.95 per month rental... also brought a Tivo to stop paying $10+$13.95 a month for the cable box and while house DVR (was free for 1st year).
I am very pleased with the product (modem I was looking for) and the service.
I have only had it installed for about a week, now. Works fine. COMCAST had no problem validated it. It arrived in good condition. I would need more operational time to give it a true evaluation. Jim D.
Item was as expected for a way better brice. Return was hassle free. Only reason i returned it was because the ISP told me they provided DSL for me, but then they told me that they did not. Oh well.
Was quickly able to find a modem compatible with my internet provider (Optimum). Best price after searching other sites - will repay in less than a year vs renting. Fast shipment.
Everything is installed and working great!
This modem replaces the one I was leasing from Comcast. It is nearly identical to the one we had from the cable company. Performance remains exactly the same.
only has one Ethernet connection
Works great. Easy to set up and internet speed is excellent, over 100 bps. It's a waste of money to lease the modem from Xfinity or any carrier.
My Arris TM22G Docsis 3.0 Telephone EMTA Modem has been is service for about four (4) months now. During that time it has functioned perfectly.
I was very skeptical because of the low price. I've been using this unit now for quite a few months and it works great.
