Almost too tight at ankle & somewhat narrow for a wide size. Don't know if I should return for a different size or try to break them in?

I buy the Dan Post Renegade boot for casual wear. I have been wearing these boots for years. Every pair I have owned from the first day I put them on I can wear them all day + and they have never hurt my feet. The boots are quite comfortable. They construction is sturdy. The skins colors are consistent with the leather shank. The decorative stitching is a great accent.
