I had the most severe ingrown toenail I’d ever had, and my doctor said he’d have to cut part of the nail off. I watched videos of that procedure and was so grossed out/scared that I looked for any other way to deal with the problem. I found Curve Correct after learning that podiatrists in Australia use braces to correct curved nails. I figured that it was a $50 cost and worth a shot at avoiding a really awful-looking procedure. I got the braces and applied one right away. I could tell that the brace was pulling the curved portion up, and the painful pressure was immediately relieved. Unfortunately, the brace fell off the next day, but this is because I’d been using ointments on that toe for the prior two weeks. It takes time for all of the residue to really be washed away. After a week of near-daily trying to attach a brace, I got one to stick for good (it’s been on for over a week now). My toenail is definitely flatter (there’s way more visible toenail than I’ve seen in years), and there’s no pain or pressure. I applied a brace to my other big toe as well, since it was starting to hurt. Because I hadn’t used any ointments on that toe, the first brace stuck and is still attached (over 2 weeks later). That toenail is growing out straighter, and it’s glorious to see that my $50 take-a-chance-on-it investment has paid off so well! I also want to commend the Curve Correct staff on their prompt reply and replacement of the first kit, which came with a leaking glue bottle. This is how customer service should be done! I’ve already recommended Curve Correct to friends and family suffering from ingrown nails—it’s that good!
It didn’t do anything to help it and was hard to use. The strips are flimsy break easily wanted a refund but wasn’t sure if I could send the rest back for it
Took away my nail pain right away. Easy enough to apply with assistance
I used the least strong tension product on the second toe nail of a small adult. It was the perfect tension to reduce the extreme curvature. It’s challenging to put out on yourself. It took me 2 attempts but I managed it. Very good product.
This is the best ingrown toe nail correction kit I have ever found. It comes in a handy good quality clear plastic storage container, so everything is in one place. The instructions are very clear and thorough. It is pretty straightforward to understand what to do and how to do it BUT it is super fiddly. . . it's do-able on your own but much easier with help. My main tips would be definitely go easy on the glue, as per the instructions and be patient when it comes to holding the strip in place whilst the glue dries. I applied it on bare nails and then had gel polish on top. It didn't hinder the correction strip or the gel polish. I also had the strip under builder gel and that was fine too. You cant actually see the strips when applied especially if you have nail polish on and to be honest, even if you have bare nails, unless someone is up close and personal with your toe, it's unnoticeable. You get several of the strips in the kit, so if you cut it too short or mess up you have plenty of spares. Make sure to use a pair of sharp scissors when cutting it to size. I would suggest smoothing the cut edge with a nail file to take off the sharp edges but be very very gentle or it will dislodge the end you just stuck down. Also don't take a shower/bath just before or after, as the glue needs time to go off and fully harden. It did take a few weeks for the nail to uncurve, but the results are amazing for something so discreet. Definitely worth the price and highly recommended.
We got this to avoid a procedure to remove portion of my son’s nail , and it completely worked!!
Curve Correct really works. I have terrible trouble with ingrown toenails, but your product has eliminated it!
I was unable to correct the curvature of my big toenails. I finally located the source for this product off of a YouTube video and I'm very happy with the results. I followed the directions exactly, they are not kidding about using tiny amounts of glue, and the brace has stayed on. The one thing that might stop people from using that is that you have to be able to reach your feet but that is not Curve Correct's problem. I think the more I use it, the easier it will be to apply the brace. I started with the most highly recommended strength and it's worked well. It was mildly uncomfortable for the first 48 hours because it was lifting the nail out of the deep nail groove. I noticed a slight burning sensation but it was the same as when I used a sidewall cleaner to try to lift the nail out. I'm very happy with this product, I wish I found it sooner. Thanks!
Very difficult to impossible to place strips on large toe nail.
It works
This is the only solution for ingrown toenails that actually works! You get immediate relief and nails that grow healthily afterward. So glad I found this product!
Wow I’m amazed by the results so far! I can’t believe how quickly I got relief from using Curve Correct. Thank you!
So far everything seems to be better on the ingrown and very curved second toenail of my left foot. A little challenging to get the strip on such a small nail, but I managed. Toe nail looks straight now and no pain! Hope it stays that way!
Product was extremely difficult to apply and maintain in place. After several failed attempts with application, the product that did stay in place did not make a difference.
I've used several toenail braces to straighten out my nails after years of cutting them down to bed. These are the only ones that I've seen actual results from. I'm only a few weeks into treatment but my nails are straighter already.
So grateful for these!! They have helped me so much.
These have been working great on my pincher toenail
There was a bit of trial and error, but I think the one I’ve gotten placed now seems to be working. I have a pretty severe curve on both sides of both big toes, and I’m optimistic this is actually going to help. I’m already feeling less pain.
Worked within 2 days
These work! Found a more foolproof way to apply the adhesive. Using a small square of aluminum foil, put a dot of adhesive on the foil. Open a large safety pin, dip it into the dot, and touch the end of the safety pin to the brace. That will put a correct amount of adhesive on the brace - and will hold properly. I'm so very thankful for these braces.
