Small & light enough to be a very admirable mobile. Tunes in to channels just fine, with an effective squelch & other features. I'm a loyal Cobra user since 1977. I know about radios. Was on CB since 1965. Even built my own from Allied Electronics. When it comes time to buy some additional Ham equipment, I intend to check out Cobra again. In the meantime, I just nay buy my wife a second unit of th u s sane model w/antenna.
