I've had these socks for almost a year now and they're comfortable but over time with every wash, they start to not look that good. But I would imagine Merino would do just that. Overall not bad, wish it was cheaper but again, Merino.
Even though I’ve washed my socks inside out and line dried them, they all have pilled. I don’t t know if that’s normal, but they don’t look nice. Won’t buy them again.
Great socks for construction work.
They do not follow through with their warranty. The first time I contacted them they asked for my address but they never sent anything. I even contacted them after my home was hit by a hurricane and I lost most everything I had and I still did not recieve any replacements. That was the forth time that I had contacted them about replacements. Although the products are great, Do not buy cloudline if you expect a warranty because it probably will not be honored. I would have been a lifetime customer and would have bought many more pair had they honored the guarantee they claim!
Wonderful, easy experience with orders and returns! Sara helped us and was truly the best! We accidentally sent Cloudline a return item for a different company and Sara went out of her way to make sure it got returned to us, she even offered to send it directly to the correct company if I sent her the return label. Amazing customer service!
Amazing quality! The only pair of long haul hiking socks that have lasted over 5 years and thousands of miles. Still going strong! Great price too!
I recently purchased 12 pairs of socks from Cloudline (5 - no show ultra light and 7 - no show light running socks). A bit of background: My feet sweat a lot causing stinky feet, which in turn led me to looking for an option to keep my feet dry. I purchased the ultra light socks and was immediately surprised, so much so that I would take them off and take a big wiff just to see if they stunk! They didn’t. This brought me to purchase the light version and these have the same benefits and way more cushion. Outside of purchasing some amazing socks, I want to talk about the customer service that I’ve received from Sara. She has been helping me since day 1. My first order that I placed got lost in the mail, immediately she sent out another set with priority and I received them in less time than expected. On my second order of socks, 2 pairs were a tad bit large, and after going back and forth about the first shipping mishap with ground to Puerto Rico, that she was just going to ship out 2 new pairs. Man, this type of customer service is rare and far exceeds what I expected in todays world. Thank you Sara, for your amazing, over the top service! I really am grateful!
Let me start with this...well made socks. Unfortunately, the wool is the roughest Merino I've ever owned. I have worn Merino for years and decided to try these socks. These are definitely on the rough side of comfort, worse than many non-Merino socks I have. I ordered the tall "compression" socks in an XL, which would be a foot size larger than I wear, and the foot size is fine. The leg portion is way too tight for my calfs. The elastic (or sizing, maybe both) are way too tight bordering on constriction, not compression. At 6'1" and 190 lbs I'm definitely not a HUGE guy, but the elastic or sizing needs options for different people to improve fit. I'm hoping they will loosen up with wear, but so far I'm not impressed.
Have used several pair of these socks for several months now and just ordered some more in different colors. Use them for walking/hiking, golfing and casual wear. They wick moisture and keep my feet dry, even in gore tex hiking boots and golf shoes, and keep my feet as cool as the can be in hot conditions. They also do a great job of keeping my feet warm in cool conditions or when hiking in wet weather and even my wife noticed there is no nasty smell associated with these socks. These socks are worth every penny you pay for them and I have recommended them to others and everyone that has purchased them loves them. The lifetime guarantee, the ordering process, and the support staff are outstanding.
I received my first pair of CloudLine socks as a gift from a friend and I fell in love. They became my go-to hiking socks. I decided to order another pair for myself and a pair to gift to my boyfriend. My friend gave me the wrong information so I ordered the wrong socks. I ordered two thick pairs (medium cushion hiking socks) when I wanted the light cushion. I emailed the company to see if I could make an exchange. Joe and Austin got back to me immediately and were incredibly understanding and flexible. In the end, they decided to send me the correct socks and let me keep the others! It was such a pleasant surprise and they wrote me the nicest note. Communicating with them was easy and comfortable and they were so sweet. Now that we have reliable and thick socks my boyfriend and I are going to try winter hiking for the first time! I fully support the products this company puts out and their commitment to providing quality customer service. Thank you, Joe and Austin!
I got these socks for trail running, and have used them a couple times both for trail running and a decent backpack trip. They were great! It was the first time I'd gone over 12 miles without getting a blister. No hot spots, just happy feet! Thank you so much for a great product!!
Fast service. Quality products.
Have only worn these for one run so I would have a hard time reviewing the overall durability of this sock. I can, however, say that it is extremely comfortable, light weight and, as with all wool, shed moisture away from foot, keeping you happy and blister free. I have traditionally worn Darn Tough Merino wool socks, but decided to give these a try, after reading an article in a running magazine. I am happy I did. Hope they hold up and provide many miles of service.
So far they seem like a really durable and comfortable sock. Also at a reasonable price.
Great socks they are hands-down the best socks I've ever had and very cool they don't make your feet sweat. They fit very well and they are very comfortable And very very very fast shipping. I will be buying more stuff from them especially my socks.
The medium cushion socks provide enough comfortable padding without being bulking. I can't wait to try them on a long hike this summer. They seem to be very durable as well. Great product and great website.
I have multiple pairs, styles and weights of your socks. I run, hike, bike, snowshoe in them and even sleep in them in below zero nights in the Adirondacks. They are my go to socks for all my activities!
I have a few different pairs of Cloudlines and they are definitely my favorite socks. For running, I am a huge fan of the ankle socks with a pull tab. Makes it easy to get on and off. The merino wool is great for wicking sweat and doesn’t stink when you wear the same pair again.
Part of my regular sock rotation along with a couple other USA-made wool socks. These are some of my favorites.
My husband and I both love our Cloudline socks, they wear nice and they wash up really nice. My husband wears his to work everyday in his work boots and his feet don’t sweat, and we both wear them in our sneakers. Give them a try we’re glad we did.
