First time purchasing tires and/or steel rims online. Initially I did not want to buy these items online as I thought it would take too long or be too expensive, but the pricing was good and shipping indicated 2 to 7 days, which I thought was awesome. I also have a local garage that would mount the tires on my car. I liked that CanadaWheels had a large selection. I was able to find the tire I researched online (very good performance and in my price range). CanadaWheels had an easy to use website, with a large selection, and competitive pricing. I did call for assistance to ensure I was getting the right steel rims, and the rep did help me get the exact fit for my vehicle, so was happy I called. I was disappointed on a few things. During the time of purchase, I was told the tires could not be mounted on the rims as the two items came from different warehouses. This was disappointing, but my local garage said he would do it for me (an additional unintended expense) Secondly, the time it took to receive the tires. The steel rims came in about 3-4 days, which was great; however the tires took over 2 weeks to come in. I called customer service and they did say the warehouse was backed up at this time of year, but nothing else provided as to when the tires should arrive. She said she would look into into and let me know, but did not receive any call or email with an update. I finally received an email indicating the tires were ready to ship. The email had “tracking” information for the tires, unfortunately it did not provide any useful information. Nothing about the location of the tires or ETA . That info was basically useless other than knowing the tires are on their way now. After that email, I receive the tires a few days later. The other thing that I am realizing now is that I should have purchased a Tire Pressure Monitoring System for my winter tires and rims. I am disappointed that the person I was speaking to (when I initially called to make the purchase)...
