The sound isn't as good as people make it out to be; it’s roughly middle-of-the-pack—a 3+ out of 5. My overall rating for $800 headphones would be zero, though I can't actually give that score. The design is interesting enough, but everything else is a downside. Your ears get sweaty after just 10 minutes; it’s terribly uncomfortable.

I have almost every B&W headphone model, but the latest product, the PX8 S2 McLaren Edition, is the company's true golden child. To put it simply yet eloquently, these headphones are excellent in every respect. The sound quality and atmosphere of each track are a true feast, not just for the ears. I think many buyers of these wonderful headphones will fully share my opinion. And the joy and satisfaction of having the McLaren Edition on your ears adds something even more: you feel like you're actually driving a McLaren.
