I have to admit I was skeptical about this drive unit. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance of this unit! I had pre ordered four weeks earlier as a Christmas gift for my Son but when the package was sent it was returned by my local post office 🙄 a few days before Christmas! So i emailed the customer service and they bent over backwards to get me a unit shipped out to my PO Box, I ended up receiving the package the day after Chrismas and that was fine because my Son ended up going with his Mom to Yosemite- So that gave me time to assemble the unit on the bike. My Son Tess his bike after we got it dialed in he was blown away by the performance! So this made me happy as father that I got him the best gift 😇 My only comment would be it would be nice to have a battery level reader on the throttle but I think they sell a kit for that.

Fantastic design! The install went well, but I would have appreciated a phone number to call when I had a question. The system works very well on my first test ride and will certainly be better after the learning curve. It could use a console/display to change modes on the fly as well as pedal assist, which is in development.

Great evolution to great form factor and a the battery level indicator is a nice addition until a software upgrade is available for the battery percentage on the app. Fingers crossed!

I actually purchased the whole kit. I just installed it yesterday. Everything is well engineered and thought out. Bimotal has turned my 20 yo Gary Fisher Hoo Koe Koo into an ebike. Now have the ability to get a used gravel or snow bike and just move the motor to another bike with a second motor mount and rotor gear kit. Excellent workmanship. So far so good.
